Hibachi at Home in Calvert County, Maryland
Squadron dinners, PCS goodbyes, and a great neighborhood vibe.Good food. Familiar faces. One more evening together.
Planning hibachi at home in Calvert County? Bring your squadron friends and neighbors together for a backyard dinner. We bring the private hibachi chef and grill; you get an evening with your people.
Nine Friends on the List. One More Move Coming Up.
If you’re stationed at NAS Patuxent River and live in Calvert County, you know the drill. A promotion deserves a proper dinner. PCS orders mean it’s time to get your closest friends from the squadron together before everyone heads in a different direction.
You want a small group in your backyard, cold drinks, and a good steak dinner. No restaurant reservation to coordinate. No one stuck at the stove while the conversation happens outside.
Then you count the guest list: nine people. You start wondering whether a private hibachi chef will make the trip down the peninsula for a gathering that size.
The “Invite the Neighbors” Pro Tip
Here’s an easy next step: go knock on your neighbor’s door.
Bring six more neighbors or friends into the plan and make it a 15-person backyard hibachi party. Your squadron friends get to meet the people next door, the kids have company, and there’s a little more conversation around the table.
Once the fried rice hits the grill, dinner becomes something everyone can gather around. You can catch up, raise a glass to the next assignment, and enjoy the evening without running back and forth to the kitchen.
We Actually Drive Out to the Peninsula
Hosting in Solomons or Lusby shouldn’t mean giving up on dinner at home. We provide mobile hibachi in Calvert County, from the southern end of the peninsula to homes farther north in Huntingtown, Dunkirk, and Owings.
A driveway, patio, or suitable area of firm, level grass may work. Send photos of the outdoor cooking space and the route from the unloading spot. We review the surface and clearances before confirming the setup, and bring protective mats to help contain cooking drips.
Military Life Happens. Let’s Plan Around It.
If you’re planning around a move, send your preferred date early and tell us about any timing uncertainty. If your orders or schedule change, contact us as soon as you know so we can discuss the options under your booking terms.
We plan the cooking around the people at your table: steak for one guest, shrimp for another, or tofu for someone who prefers a vegetarian meal. Share dietary requests before the day so we can discuss preparation and cross-contact concerns.

Calvert County Hibachi at Home Questions
Find more answers in our hibachi FAQ hub.
What is the minimum group size? What if we only have nine people?
Calvert County bookings require at least 15 guests. If you currently have nine, invite six more neighbors or friends to reach the minimum before booking.
How much is the travel fee in Calvert County?
The travel fee is a flat $100 per event throughout Calvert County, including Lusby and Solomons. There are no additional per-mile travel or bridge toll charges on top of that county travel fee. Meals and selected extras are separate.
How much are the hibachi meals?
Adults are $55 each for two proteins or $65 for three. Children under 12 are $30 each. Salad, fried rice, hibachi vegetables, and live cooking are included. Premium upgrades and optional extras cost more. Calvert County requires at least 15 guests; the final quote confirms the applicable food minimum.
Are there service charges, and is gratuity included?
Your quote lists any applicable service charge before you reserve. Gratuity is not included. A 20% tip for your chef is suggested and appreciated, but tipping is optional and the amount is up to you. Travel is separate from gratuity.
How do I lock in my date, and when is the balance due?
After we confirm your date and event details, a 5% deposit secures the booking and counts toward your total. The remaining balance, including the $100 travel fee, is due after the meal.
What if our orders change before the party?
Contact us as soon as you know your plans may change. We will review alternative dates and the rescheduling terms for your booking. A new date depends on availability; a deposit transfer must be confirmed with us.
What do you bring, and what do we provide?
We bring the chef, grill, cooking fuel, ingredients, and cooking equipment. You provide the agreed outdoor area, dining tables, chairs, plates, utensils, and drinks. We clean the grill and cooking station; guest dishes and general party cleanup remain with the host.
Can you cook on a patio or lawn?
A patio, driveway, or firm, level area of grass may work after review of the surface, access, cooking space, and safety clearances. Send photos before booking. We bring protective mats to help contain cooking drips.
Can we choose tofu or request allergy accommodations?
Tofu and vegetable options are available. Share dietary preferences and allergies before booking so we can discuss ingredients, preparation, and cross-contact concerns. We cannot promise an allergen-free cooking environment.
What if it rains?
Contact us ahead of your event so we can review a suitable outdoor backup setup. Any alternative must meet the grill’s safety and clearance requirements. The outdoor grill cannot be moved into a garage or indoor room. If a safe setup is unavailable, discuss rescheduling under your booking terms.

Hosting at Home or on a Military Property?
This page covers event addresses in Calvert County. NAS Patuxent River itself is in neighboring St. Mary’s County. Any event on a military installation requires separate confirmation of access, authorization, and site rules; a home booking does not include base access.
Plan the Space Before the Guest List Is Final
Allow room for the grill operation, safe clearance from structures and combustibles, and guest seating. Send photos before booking so the chef can review the proposed outdoor position. Protective mats help contain drips; they do not make every surface suitable.
