Waterfront Hibachi Along the Magothy River

Great River View. Sloping Lawn. Where Does the Grill Go?

You’ve invited everyone over for dinner by the Magothy River. There’s room on the deck, a few chairs down by the dock, and a cooler full of drinks.

Then you look at the yard. The deck is wood. The grass slopes toward the water. You want hibachi at home in Anne Arundel County, but you don’t want a hot grill wobbling on the lawn or grease dripping onto the boards.

Send us a few photos before booking. Our chef will review where the grill can sit on firm ground, how to get it there, and what leveling is needed. We bring protective mats to help catch cooking drips.

You Keep the View. We Work Through the Setup.

A suitable driveway or firm, level part of the yard may give the grill a better position. Show us the route from the unloading spot, any steps or narrow gates, and the space around the proposed cooking area.

We check the grill’s stability before cooking. A slope is not automatically suitable, and mats do not make soft or uneven ground safe. If the first spot doesn’t work, we’ll discuss another outdoor position before you reserve.

Make an Evening of It

Set the table where you want to spend time with your guests. Pick your proteins, put the drinks on ice, and let the chef handle dinner at the grill. Tell us about children’s meals and dietary requests while planning the menu.

How much are the meals?

Adults are $55 each for two proteins or $65 for three. Children under 12 are $30 each. Salad, fried rice, hibachi vegetables, and live cooking are included. Premium upgrades and optional extras cost more.

What is the minimum spend?

A $550 food minimum generally applies, with children’s meals counting toward it. Confirm the applicable minimum for your date and address before reserving. Travel and selected extras are separate.

Are there service charges, and is gratuity included?

Your quote lists any applicable service charge before you reserve. Gratuity is not included. A 20% tip for your chef is suggested and appreciated, but tipping is optional and the amount is up to you. Travel is separate from gratuity.

Can you cook on a wooden deck or dock?

Send photos before booking. We review the property type, cooking surface, access, equipment requirements, and applicable clearances. A suitable ground-level driveway or yard position may work better. We do not promise that any particular deck or dock is suitable.

What if the grass slopes toward the water?

We need a firm supporting surface and a stable grill position. Send photos showing the slope and possible alternative spots. Leveling equipment and protective mats do not make every slope or soft lawn suitable. The proposed position must be reviewed before the event.

Do you serve near Gibson Island and Cape St. Claire?

Yes. Gibson Island and Cape St. Claire are communities within Anne Arundel County. We review each property’s access and outdoor setup before confirming a booking. Send the actual event address and outdoor photos to confirm access, coverage, travel terms, and the setup for your property.

How much is the deposit, and when do we pay the balance?

After the date and event details are confirmed, a 5% deposit reserves your booking and counts toward the total. The remaining balance, including the confirmed travel fee, is due after the meal.

What do you bring, and what should we provide?

We bring the chef, grill, cooking fuel, ingredients, and cooking equipment. You provide the agreed outdoor space, dining tables, chairs, plates, utensils, and drinks. We clean the grill and cooking station; guest dishes and general party cleanup remain with the host. More than 30 guests require two chefs. Share dietary requests and allergies in advance; we cannot promise an allergen-free environment.

What if it rains or gets windy by the river?

Contact us ahead of the event to review the weather and an appropriate outdoor backup. A location must meet the grill’s safety and clearance requirements. The outdoor grill cannot be moved into a garage or indoor room. If safe operation cannot be confirmed, discuss rescheduling under your booking terms.
