Backyard Hibachi Catering: Preparing for Your Chef

For Backyard Hibachi Catering, prepare a suitable, level cooking area and arrange guest seating before the chef arrives.

Leave a clear path for equipment and ingredient delivery, and keep the cooking area separate from dining tables.

For more preparation ideas, see our Hibachi Party Planning Guide.

What Should You Have Ready Before the Food Arrives?

You do not need to buy replacement ingredients for the chef’s confirmed menu. Instead, finalize your guest count, collect protein choices, and tell our team about allergies before the event. If you plan to offer cake, drinks, or separate appetizers, arrange those as your own party items.

Keep guest food and beverages on a separate table so the chef’s preparation area stays clear. Ask in advance about any raw ingredients you want the chef to cook; outside food needs specific approval. For the dishes in the package, see our current menu. This preparation checklist covers who brings the ingredients, rather than replacing your confirmed order.
