Your date. Your guest list. A great night around the grill.
Booking, menu choices, and table setup—here’s how it all comes together.
A hibachi party at home puts everyone around the same table—including the host. Best Hibachi brings the chef, grill, and fresh ingredients. This guide walks through the reservation, the menu, the budget, and getting your space ready.
1. Request Your Date Online
Start with our online reservation form. Fill in your name, phone number, email, event address, preferred date and time, and estimated number of guests. Then submit your request.
A submitted form is a request for availability. Our customer service team will contact you by email or phone to confirm the time, guest count, and arrangements for your location.
2. Confirm the Details and Pay Your 5% Deposit
Once the arrangements are confirmed, a 5% deposit locks in your date and time. Pay the deposit through Venmo or Zelle using the details provided by our team. It counts toward your total; the remaining balance is paid in cash after dinner.
Tell us early about access to the cooking area, special occasions, and any questions about your space. Travel fees depend on the event address and are confirmed with your booking.
3. Choose Your Hibachi Menu
Our team will contact you again a few days before the party to help finalize the menu. Send us a list with each guest’s name and meal choices, plus any upgrades or dietary needs.
Two-protein combination — $55 per adult: choose two proteins. Three-protein combination — $65 per adult: choose three. Options include chicken, steak, shrimp, scallops, salmon, and tofu. Filet mignon is an additional $5 and lobster is an additional $10. See the full hibachi menu and pricing before collecting everyone’s choices.
| Guest | Meal choices |
|---|---|
| Tony | Steak + Shrimp (ST + SH) |
| Yoyo | Chicken + Shrimp (CK + SH) |
| Mike | Shrimp + Shrimp (SH + SH) |
ST = steak, SH = shrimp, CK = chicken. Writing the full protein names also works. Include food allergies and upgrades beside the relevant guest’s name so our team can review the list with you.
4. Plan Your Hibachi Party Budget
Start with each guest’s meal selection, then add any premium protein upgrades and the travel fee quoted for your address. We suggest a 20% tip. The 5% deposit is part of your bill, so you do not pay it twice.
Our standard minimum is 10 guests; some service areas have different requirements. Customer service will confirm the minimum and pricing for your event. For a group with children or special requests, ask our team for the applicable options.
5. How to Set Up Your Hibachi Tables
Arrange your tables in a U shape, with the chairs on the outside facing the center. Leave the open end for the chef and grill. Keep a clear path for bringing the equipment in and enough room around the cooking area for the chef to work.

Prepare tables, chairs, plates, utensils, drinking glasses, and drinks. Keep decorations and other items away from the cooking area. Send customer service a photo of your planned setup so we can help check the layout for your location.
For an indoor party, the room must be large enough and the ceiling high enough for the proposed setup. Send photos and room details before booking; our team must confirm whether the location is suitable. Check any venue restrictions as well.
6. What Happens on Party Day?

Your chef generally arrives about 10 minutes before the scheduled time to set up. Have the tables ready and the access route clear. We bring the grill, ingredients, and cooking equipment; you provide the seating, tableware, and drinks.
Then dinner happens right in front of everyone: fresh food on the grill, chef interaction, and a chance for the host to sit with the guests. At the end, the chef cleans up the cooking area and you pay the remaining balance in cash.
Hibachi Catering for a Birthday Party

Keep the birthday plan simple: pick the date, collect everyone’s meal choices, and set the table. Mobile hibachi catering brings dinner and the chef’s show to the same gathering, so the birthday guest can spend the evening with the people who came to celebrate.
Let customer service know it is a birthday when confirming the booking. We can discuss the timing and any requests with you before the party.
